Smoov ("we", "us") helps you write better replies on dating and messaging apps. This policy explains what we collect, how we collect it, everything we use it for, and who we share it with.
Screenshots & text you submit. Collected only when you actively tap to generate (uploading a screenshot, typing context or interests, or using the iMessage extension after taking a screenshot). Nothing is collected in the background.
Preferences. Your selected reply tone and language accompany each request so results match your choice.
Account (optional). If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive a private identifier (and, only if you allow it, your name/email). Signing in is never required to use the app.
Subscriptions. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Your submitted content is used for exactly one purpose: generating the reply suggestions or date ideas you asked for. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or AI model training, and it is never sold.
To generate results, your submitted screenshot/text is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our server and then to OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States), our AI provider, which processes it through its API to produce the suggestions. Under OpenAI's API data-usage terms, API content is not used to train their models, may be retained for up to 30 days solely for abuse monitoring, and is then deleted — protection equal to what this policy provides. We share nothing else with anyone, and we do not sell personal data.
The app asks for your explicit permission before the first time any content is sent for AI processing, and nothing is transmitted unless you agree. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or deleting the app; declining simply means AI features are not used.
We do not retain submitted screenshots or text after a request completes (see the OpenAI abuse-monitoring window above). To delete your account and associated data, contact us on Telegram below.
